Alocasia Venusta
Alocasia Venusta, another Jewel Alocasia variety that will stay relatively compact, has quite a different overall appearance from other Jewels. With unusually thick, long and narrow leaves on thin petioles, they almost form a canoe shape. The leaves on this species have dark green upper surfaces and even darker green veins, with pale undersides, and the puckering between the main veins gives an embossed look. Alocasia are toxic to both people and animals, so they are not to be ingested.
