Ficus Diversifolia

Ficus Diversifolia, aka Ficus Deltoidea, Mistletoe Fig, or Delta Fig, is a bushy, upright Ficus producing rounded, lobed leaves with a leathery texture. The leaves bear tiny brown spots and the pea-sized, inedible fruits appear all year round. The light green veins of each leaf provide a beautiful contrast. One of the unique features of Ficus diversifolia is its ability to produce small, inedible figs directly on its branches and trunk, a phenomenon known as cauliflory. These figs can add a decorative touch, turning from green to a yellow or orange hue as they mature. Due to the growth habit of this unique Ficus variety, it is very common to see them grown as bonsai specimens.
