Osmanthus Plant

Osmanthus, specifically Osmanthus fragrans, commonly known as Sweet Osmanthus, Fragrant Tea Olive, or Sweet Olive, is a delightful evergreen shrub or small tree renowned for its beautifully fragrant flowers. Native to Asia, particularly China and Japan, this plant is celebrated for its small but powerfully scented blooms, which appear in various colours depending on the species—from creamy white to orange and gold. These blossoms emit a sweet, apricot-like fragrance that can fill the air around them, especially during the spring and autumn blooming seasons. Osmanthus is also appreciated for its leathery, dark green leaves, which provide a striking backdrop to its delicate flowers.
