Purple Passion Plant

Purple Passion Plant, aka Gynura aurantiaca or Velvet Plant, is a species of flowering plant in the daisy family Asteraceae, and certainly a must-have for your collection. With green leaves covered in fine, purple hairs, it gives the effect of a purple sheen, hence its common name. As they age, the hairs spread further apart, lessening the purple colour but certainly not its beauty, as they are even known to produce delightfully contrasting orange flowers.
