Senecio haworthii, aka Cocoon Plant, Wooly Senecio, is a fuzzy succulent with frosty grey cylindrical cacti-like with bright silvery-white hairs leaves. Native to South Africa, it is also called “Tontelbos”, meaning “tinderbush”, where the white coating of the leaves was removed and used as tinder for starting fires. The leaves will turn green if they get wet, and back to silvery-white after drying. They are a perfect addition to any succulent collection.
